The Rise of the Shift

I was kindasorta thinking about entering the "architecture" contest over at the Project 366-1 group with something like this, but I liked the T-1000 shot better so eff it ;-)
Here's probably the most traditional use of the shift mechanism of tilt/shift lenses, where by pointing the camera straight and shifting the lens up (rise) you can get perfectly parallel vertical lines while still capturing the roof of the building. Of course, converging lines are fairly easy to fix in Photoshop using the "Perspective Tool" but where's the fun in that?
And for me, that's what it boils down to. I'm totally OK with photo manipulation using photoshop as long as you don't introduce something that wasn't there to begin with and pretend that is was. Case in point, the fairly heavy HDR + Unsharp masking in this image.
But see, that's OK, because it's fun! Fixing cruddy perspective in Photoshop, on the other hand, when you can shoot it correctly in the field using a shift lens is not fun. And why shoot if it's not fun?

Who is she?
She's one of my top two favorite female musicians. I've liked her music for many years and I've publicly stated that I wish I had co-written and produced one of her greatest albums with her.
I enhanced her video & sound to super HD quality that is nearly as good as Blu-ray.
