Weekly photo competition runner up, 19 October 2012: breeder seed in Kenya

Kenya-based communicator Florence Sipalla is one of two runners up this week in our photo competition for CIMMYT staff and friends. She took advantage of a recent field visit to Dryland Seed Company in Machakos County, Kenya, to capture this vibrant image. It was taken the Machakos Agricultural Training Centre and shows a plot of breeder seed being grown by Dryland Seed Company.

This week’s runner up in our photo competition for CIMMYT staff and friends is Jorge Alberto Baños Angeles of the Conservation Agriculture program. His photo shows the afternoon sun over the conservation agriculture experimental plots at CIMMYT’s CENEB station (Campo Experimental Norman E. Borlaug, or The Norman E. Borlaug Experiment Station), near Ciudad Obregón, in the state of Sonora, northern Mexico.
